I did not try the wings this time but they looked pretty incredible too. The staff was super courteous and was able to get my to go order out efficiently. Gotta be back to try more from this great local restaurant!
I want to give this place a 3.5 star rating. Poke nachos pictures on their websire are very misleading, even on their menu. They were good, but portions was a little misleading. It comes in a small bowl, smaller than their other poke bowls. Just super small portion for the price and not as filling. Also, we ordered an OG Hawaiian poke bowl that was literally more than half filled with rice vs actual food. There's an additional charge for little things such as peppers. We ordered a teriyaki bowl for my son and nephew to share and the chicken was still raw. My sister and I are very lucky we caught that before feeding our kids that. It could of made them sick. We sent it back and they gave us a full refund. For 16$ a bowl we expected just go be a tad bit better.
If you craving good quality poke Lemon Shark is your spot!
They need to simplify their ordering. The Szechuan Shrimp bowl caught my eye so that's why I went to order. After a discussion as to what that came with, I finally just asked if I could add what I wanted and they said yes. I also chose them over some other places as they had brown rice as an option, and the dude just started scooping white rice into the bowl without asking. After I got his attention, I asked if they had brown and he looked at me like I was the a in this process and he dumped out the white and scooped in some brown. The Szechuan shrimp bowl came with either 2 or 3 scoops and I went with 2. They scooped some tiny cold shrimp onto the bowl and squirted some sauce from a bottle onto it. Let me say there was absolute nothing Szechuan about what I ordered. Was it good, yes, but I would have rather just had tuna or salmon than that pitiful lack of flavor. I added on other items until I got to the point where I apparently was asking for more than one premium item. I had the seaweed salad and wanted to also try the masago but it would have been an extra dollar. Given that I was already at the $14 mark, I passed. I'm sure all of the items are marked on the menu, however, the menu is out of view when you're walking the line and choosing what you want. Perhaps some additional verbiage ON the little sign saying what each ingredient is would help. At the end, they asked if I wanted any of the crispy onions or other stuff to make it extra tasty and wasn't sure if there was an upcharge so had to ask. Luckily there wasn't. Compared to what I can get at Sus Hi Eatstation, this place is way overpriced for the portion size. It's about 1/2 the size of a Chipotle bowl (which is about 1/2 the price of this bowl) if I can make a comparison. I may try this place again once I have time to analyze the best value, but will have to really think if it's worth it.
The Poke bowl was delicious, but the service was terrible! I ordered one Poke Bowl and waited 20 minutes to pay for it. Apparently, the Poke and Hibachi are ordered at 2 separate registers, but there’s no signs to help people figure that out. It was chaos just to order the food and pay. Many confused customers trying to figure out where to pay and order after waiting in the wrong line. Hopefully, they’ll get it worked out because the bowl was very good!
