The Lookout - Durban

We went to watch the rugby there, we took 2 kids with us and we were seated in the restaurant side. The service was excellent. The food was very good and well priced for what you get. The crowd wasn't too rowdy so it was fine with the kids. The only thing was that some people were smoking by the window inside which is not great for non-smokers. The worst meal I have had in many many years. Sunday lunch roast. The beef was inedible, pork roast , 2 tiny pieces of fat and crackling, Yorkshire pudding was tough and inedible. So food was awful. Waitress was sweet. Won’t be back in a hurry.

The service at this restaurant was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere, however, left a bit to be desired, as the decor and ambiance were not particularly memorable. Overall, a solid option for a delicious meal with great service.

I ordered the butter chicken curry and it was prepared perfectly and delicious. The atmosphere on Friday evening was great. Our waiter, Edgar, provided first-class service. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5.
