Copper Chimney - Durban

A truly wonderful dining experience! While the restaurant may not have an upscale appearance, the food is fantastic! They offer excellent specialties, timely service, and generous portion sizes.

On the second day, we had dinner at Copper Chimney, an Indian restaurant near our hotel, after visiting Leopard Rock. The lamb curry was quite spicy. Overall, the Indian food was authentic and delicious.

I had a very enjoyable experience at the restaurant. The presentation of the food was outstanding, and the taste was fantastic. However, I noticed that the cleanliness of the restrooms and handwashing facilities needs attention. It seemed like they hadn't been cleaned since the morning, as the floors were wet and dirty, and there was no extractor fan.

Meals are well prepared and delicious. Especially kebabs and chicken. Steak was like rubber. We had the mixed grill for R85. Only the one Roti is not enough for this beautiful dish.

I give the food 5 stars because it is really flavorful and they do not hold back on the spiciness when you order a hot meal. Their Mutton bunny is incredible and the prices are reasonable. I will admit, the staff are not always readily available to assist you but they are friendly though. The toilet area, sadly, is not always clean. It's a good atmosphere. I've been here a few times I cannot complain about noise or any disturbance while dining
