We really enjoyed our takeout order of a 1.5 rack of ribs. They looked fantastic, had the perfect amount of smoke, and were incredibly tender. The pitmaster did a great job creating a flavorful bark with a nice, soft texture. It was delicious!

I'm generally an optimistic person and tend to see the bright side in most situations. The bartender was friendly, and the beer I had was decent. However, I suspect that the pork, sausage, and fried okra I ordered were likely frozen items that were just reheated in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the collard greens were inedible. I don’t like to leave a negative review, but I have to be honest about my experience.

Now, on to the less impressive aspects... unfortunately, the ribs were disappointing. They were smoked rather than grilled, and it made a noticeable difference in taste. I believe they need to be smoked for a much longer time because the meat was extremely tough, and I could only eat part of it. My fiancé ordered the brisket, but it was predominantly fat. The $10 candied bacon was advertised as thick slices, but that wasn't the case. It even prompted my fiancé, who usually doesn't complain, to voice his disappointment. The mac and cheese was over-seasoned with pepper, making it nearly inedible, which was quite disappointing. I almost ordered the greens but learned they weren't homemade, so I decided against it. Additionally, the women's restroom was not well maintained; the seat needed cleaning, and they were sparing with the paper towels. To top it off, we spent a good amount of time battling a fly, which landed on my head and my salad—after that, I couldn’t eat anymore. We came because we had a Groupon for their flight tasting, but unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

We had an AMAZING evening at Porters last night! This lovely restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating right in the heart of Dunwoody. The menu is outstanding, featuring a wide variety of dishes. We sampled the chef salad, ribs, pulled pork, and smoked chicken, along with their delightful chicken salad. To complement our meal, we chose sides of fried okra and baked beans. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the cornbread and the delicious bread pudding we had for dessert! Everything was fresh, and the servers informed us that all the meats are smoked in-house. Plus, Porters plans to start serving house-roasted corned beef soon. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful place for more delicious food!
