Sengthong's Blue Sky Room - DUNSMUIR

Sengthong's restaurant is a gem in Dunsmuir. I've had several opportunities to dine there, and the food is consistently excellent, even when the prices are on the higher side. Sengthong prioritizes fresh ingredients, resulting in dishes that are truly delicious. What sets the kitchen apart from most other Thai restaurants is its unique blend of northern Thai and Laotian cuisine. Don’t miss out on Sengthong's Blue Sky Room, located just a few doors down from the restaurant. It’s a fantastic spot for live music, featuring a great bar and a lighter version of the restaurant menu.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. We always make a point to dine here at least once during our holiday in Dunsmuir. The Vietnamese Fish Stew is outstanding, impeccably seasoned! I highly recommend this restaurant. Although there may be a wait for your food since every meal is prepared by Sengthong, the deliciousness of the dishes makes it well worth it.

The best dining spot in Siskiyou County! I've been coming here for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Be prepared to relax and savor your meal, as Sengthongs prepares everything from scratch, resulting in incredible flavors. My favorites include the spicy shrimp and beef curry. Plus, the chocolate cake is to die for!

My friends and I stopped at 7:45 in the evening. The owner was friendly enough to host us and made us feel comfortable. We continued to have some amazing Thai food, the ginger chicken and stir fried vegetables with noodles. Special mention of Tofu towns with vegetables. Definitely a must to visit when you are in the area and look for a great meal.

The wonderful Sengthong's Thai/South East Asian Restaurant was a few doors down from this Blue Sky Room when I discovered it a few years back, It had an extensive menu and all the Thai dishes I had were great. Times change and the community probably couldn't support a strictly South East Asian restaurant. That location (5855) is now a Mexican restaurant. Sengthong's Blue Sky Room (at 5843) has some South East Asian dishes on the menu, but it is quite limited. The meals I tried were still prepared wonderfully, but makes me long for the broader menu of before!
