Contribuiți la feedbackWe went to Moy as part of our trip to Ireland because my wife’s family originated in this town before emigrating to Canada. We chose the Ryandale Inn because a relative had recommended it . Our stay was disappointing for several reasons. Firstly, the poor handling and poor quality of our accommodation and secondly, the poor quality of the food. We had booked a twin room but we’re placed in a room with a double bed. After request a change we were moved to a twin room which smelled very strongly of mildew. My wife could not tolerate the smell so we reported it to the hotel staff who then moved us to a third room situated across an alley to the side of the hotel. The alley was used by the hotel as a smoking area for bar patrons who stood out there talking loudly. In the morning we were awakened by men rolling metal beer kegs past our window. We were not made aware that any of this would happen. We had dinner the first night at the hotel. My breaded cod had a tasteless crust and the fish was overcooked and dry. My wife’s lasagna looked and tasted as though it had been reheated. To top it off the waitress in the breakfast room was sullen and inefficient. This hotel has a long way to go to improve what it offers to patrons.
I ordered a chicken fillet burger that was undercooked. I sent it back to the kitchen, but the chef insisted it was cooked even though the chicken was pink. The other dishes at our table were also disappointing. The floor was dirty and there were many flies present. We will not be coming back to this restaurant. Our family's Sunday evening dinner was ruined.
I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and had heard great things about the food. The menu offered a wide variety of options to accommodate different dietary needs. I decided to try the chicken fillet burger with bacon and cheese, along with a side of garlic fries, while my wife ordered the scampi, both dishes were served with a side salad. The meals were delicious and we had no complaints. We were impressed by the reasonable prices and will definitely be returning. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our dining experience hassle-free.
Stayed at the Ryandale this weekend as we were attending a wedding. Room was in the accommodation a few doors down but still part of Ryandale. There were a few issues we weren 't happy about, We rang the hotel in the morning to explain that our wedding started at 3 pm the same time as check in and we asked if it would be ok to check in earlier. The person i spoke to was very helpful and asked that we come for 2 pm as the receptionist would be there at that time to check us in. We arrived at 2 pm only to be 'told off for coming before 3 pm and, even though the reception was empty we were asked to leave our bags instead of being brought to our room which was ready as there had not been guests staying in it the previous night. Reluctantly the receptionist checked us in and showed us to the room. The room was cold but we thought the heating must be on a timer however when we returned from the wedding we had to get a blow heater from the night porter who said the radiators needed to be bled. He would advise the reception the following morning. I wanted to take a bath however it was not possible as there was only a trickle of hot water coming from the bath tap. We arrived for breakfast in the morning and were greeting with the receptionist telling us we should have been down before 10am. We explained that the information provided in the bedroom stated 11 am at the weekend. The receptionist then said they would try to get us something to eat and told the staff we had misunderstood the information provided about the breakfast times, This was then replayed to a lady that appeared to be the owner her response was not favorable either we were made to feel quite uncomfortable. So much so that i returned to the room and brought the relevant page of the booklet to show the receptionist who then accepted that it did show 11 am breakfast time but they liked to get guests out early on a weekend as they are so busy, She also said there were signs up in the main hotel but not in the accommodation we stayed in. On checking out we returned the blow heater to the receptionist confirmed she hadn 't been told about the issue but that there had been a number of complaints about the lack of heating in the room so they need to check it out now. She also acknowledged the issue with lack of water pressure and proceeded to charge us the full 120 pounds for the room. The accommodation was lovely, as was the breakfast however the care for the customer left a lot to be desired. The most disappointing was the attitude of the receptionist and the fact they did not address issues in the room despite other customers raising the issues. We have friends in the area and would love to be able to stay whenever we visit however i am not sure i would which is disappointing.
