Seikaku Sushi Steak - Dunedin

Delicious!!! ?Here from out of town we got a carryout very good food.

Tried to come here on multiple separate occasions and they were closed when their hours say open.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this place. I wasn't sure about it based on its outward appearance, but staff was so friendly and welcoming! They took special care to make my three-year old feel really special and played dinosaurs with him. We especially liked our server, Chelsea. The rest of the staff were all very attentive and the service was top notch. We loved the food, too! They have some really unique and delicious sushi offerings. I've been searching for a GREAT sushi experience since moving to the Dunedin area and this one is definitely on the top of our list! Thanks for an awesome experience and we'll be coming back again real soon!

I give this place a 3.5! The food was nice and fresh and very tasty. They had lots of options on their menu to choose from. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. Although there were some downsides. They were out of steak and tofu and it's quite odd when a steakhouse is out of steak. The sushi also took a little while to come out. The music style in this restaurant played clubbing music rather than your typical restaurant music. My guest and I were not a fan. Moreover, this is your typical sushi restaurant and I would recommend it to others.

Edit Second time ever stopping by here (29OCT21). Stopped in as my son got to pick for getting his permit. Once again, it did not disappoint. Great food, great atmosphere. They'll make you feel at home.I had read the reviews and decided to stop in and try it since it's a close local place. My son and I had dinner tonight trying a few different rolls. He's big into sushi but I'm still fairly selective with it, especially raw rolls. We had 6 rolls and there wasn't one that I didn't like. Very nice inside, and very attentive service, and great presentation. Great little place that I have driven by nearly everyday and didn't even notice it but now we'll definitely be back. I would highly recommend giving them a try.
