Penguin Cafe - Dunedin

Exceptional! The food was absolutely delightful. I tried the fish pie, and it was incredibly flavorful and hearty. The potato bake as a side was fantastic, especially with the grilled vegetables on top. I can't wait to return and try more dishes from the menu!

Delicious pie and coffee! The owner provided great tips on local attractions. Five years ago, we learned about the Sandfly Bay walk from them, and even though the road to Sandfly Bay was closed this year, the owner suggested Allans Beach, where we encountered several sea lions. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The food was excellent and delicious, with generous portions that offer great value. The staff were friendly and welcoming, contributing to a wonderful experience. The location is lovely, providing a nice view of the harbor. We can’t wait to return the next time we’re in Dunedin.

Compliments to the chef who did an amazing job with our orders (pretty much customized it to our liking and coffee was also very good. We were pleasantly surprised on the low prices considering the high quality (which can be an impossibility in Auckland sometimes . Please make sure you stop here if you're in Dunedin :

Coffee was fresh and hot. Food is simple and very well done. You don't have a hundred options, the staff are real people. There is a cupboard full of toys for the kids and a high chair. We loved it. Thanks Penguin Cafe.
