Cilantro Cafe - Dunedin

Yum yum yum!! This place has the yummiest bounty hot chocolate it’s soooooo good! The staff are incredibly friendly so that’s defiantly a winner for me. They also have a really yummy cookies and cream slice and their muffins with custard in it are insanely good! It’s a must try. It’s really nice sitting inside the cafe, I quite like the simplicity of it. Do try this place it’s a goody! They are in the entertainment book too!!

Cilantro Cafe is now open 9am to 2pm on Saturday's!<br/ <br/ Best eggs Benedict in town and great Chiasso Coffee, plus all the sweet treats in the cabinet.

What a find!. I was over in NZ a few months ago and I was looking for a well cooked and delicious lunch and came across Cilantro Cafe. Nice setting with a good atmosphere, lots of people eating there who are obviously locals so that is always a good sign.The menu had a good range of breakfast and lunch food that was all reasonably priced, it also took quite a bit of self control to resist the temptation of the nice looking cakes in the cabinet as well!I ordered the most expensive item on the menu in the end, Westcoast Whitebait omelette salad with grilled sourdough, which at only $20 was worth every cent. Fresh ingredients, delicious, well presented, good sized portion that was quickly delivered with friendly service.A fresh mixed berry smoothy topped off the meal.I am not a coffee person but was told by friends they are one of the best places to get a decent coffee in Dunedin

We eat out for lunch every Friday, our group ranges from 3 to 9 people and we try to go somewhere new each week. We have 3 rules: 1. Has to be within walking distance. 2. $15 per head limit (doesn't include drinks). 3. Can’t take longer than an hour.<br/ <br/ Cilantro reopened a couple of months ago and what a change from the last operator! Service is always great, we have now been on several occasions, not just Fridays, and have never been disappointed! The food is always good no matter if it is from the menu or the cabinet. One of the favourites has been the Warm Cuban Pork Sandwich. Breakfast or Lunch this is the place to go!

I had an excellent lunch here! The staff were very friendly, and I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this place!
