Tartan Coffehouse - Dundee City

This cozy spot is perfect for a coffee or a quick meal. While waiting for our car to be serviced at Kwikfit nearby, the enticing aromas led us inside. The establishment has ample seating and friendly staff. We arrived in time for breakfast and enjoyed two large Vanilla Lattes, a plate of pancakes with bacon and banana, and what appeared to be eggs benedict with bacon and haggis—it was all beautifully presented and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to return in the future.

Don't know what happened to this place. Used to be excellent. Certainly isn't now. Food poor. The fun welcoming atmosphere absolutely gone. Having to go up to the till and order and pay each time you want another coffee or anything else) is a pain. Why can't it just be table service? Servers not all bad but they are not great either. They used to be excellent. Very disappointed with my last few visits. Time to go elsewhere.

Saw reviews looked good, very disappointed, coffee was cold,salad covered in thick balsamic, panini was cold also, cheap bread,.

Lovely Independent Cafe , food and service excellent, been there 2 weekends in a row , Nacho's Soup Salads panini's excellent as is all the food and coffee's we received, very Busy but staff were excellent and service was quick , can't fault this Cafe , would recommend

Dont bring children there to eat.The toastie for my young lad was 1 slice of cheap bread folded with some cheese on it and 4 crisps.£3.75 Rip off.The orange juice not in a glass a cheap 10p small carton £1.75.Rip off.
