The Lord Byron - Dundas

My friends and I had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. The service was top-notch, with our server Amber being friendly, knowledgeable, and a delight to interact with. The salads on the table were delicious. Both the owner, Peter, and Amber ensured that we had a wonderful evening. We will definitely be returning after such a fantastic experience and exceptional service!

Had a terrible experience. there were 6 guests. had to ask the waiter about the arrival of our salate on the serviette. the escargot was bland and simply melted cheese over quartered mushrooms and chicks. rice with scallop dish tastes like coming from a box. no. water replenishments were asked. had to ask the waiter to the fork. very bad service amd food is low class and much too expensive. not recommended.

This is my first ever negative review on TripAdvisor. I'm generally of the view of if you don't have something positive to say, don't say anything particularly if it happens to be about a local/small business. However... I wish I had read the Lord Byron...misses the mark review before we booked for our anniversary. The food was (at best) mediocre, with the one exception of the steak my husband ordered, which he pronounced excellent. Everything else was nowhere near the quality expected for the prices charged. This in and of itself is the main reason I decided to write this review. It is an expensive mistake to make, dining here. Furthermore, the decor is lovely, but detracting from the experience was the jarring Disco music. My husband asked if they would please switch it to something more relaxing (we were at the time the only customers) and they took an inexplicably long time to oblige, to the point where we were wondering if they just wouldn't.

At a time this restaurant was amazing. over the years it has deteriorated in many respects. service, quality, quantity and presentation of foods. utensilien forget to bring to table, forget to steak, cold teller, no parmesan cheese on salat, was a powder. some kind. steaks were under par and certainly not worth the money they charge, we were the only in the restaurant in this night and they could not get anything right. the steaks were not properly cooked. I could go further, my family has gone to this restaurant for years, but it certainly has gone down the hill, unfortunately to say while its like this we are not back. it was really a terrible experience and really disappointing for a family night out. By the way, there is no menu on their website or on the online order, why? and their answer machine cuts them off. we have sent a personal review directly to the restaurant.

I was excited to go to Lord Byron Steak House with my group to enjoy a big steak. I ordered the 12 oz rib eye, my favorite, cooked medium rare. When my meal arrived, the steak was covered in mushroom sauce and cooked more than medium. It was not pink inside and not very tender. This is supposed to be a steak house specializing in steaks, but I was disappointed by my $50 steak. My expectations were not met and I will not be returning.
