W Woodland Chinese - Duncan

We thought we would try something new. Do not waste your money by eating here. We ordered pork fried rice, chicken in black bean sauce and ginger beef. The rice was dark yellow and each piece of rice was a millimeter square. It was completely tasteless and I am not sure if it was actually rice. Can rice be cut up into 1mm tiny squares? The chicken in black bean sauce was dry and the cook dumped all the old dried up green beans from the kitchen on the plate. There were so many that I thought I was given a huge plate of dried up green beans. The ginger beef was covered in a red chili sauce with some cut up ginger placed on top of it. It was deep fried to the point that I was afraid I was going to break a tooth by biting it. Don't waste your money here.

This is an excellent family owned operated restaurant . Food and service top notch. Good for families with children.

We hadn't ordered food from Woodlands in over 2 years , but we used to love the food, especially the spicy wontons! Today? not so much. They were way too spicy( all spice concentrated in the centre of the under cooked mushy wonton! 5 spice seasoning dominated the special chop sueys over cooked mushy vegetables. The s & s pork tasted dry and OLD. The chow mien dry and bland. The salt and peppery prawns were soggy and way to spicy! Everything else was horrible as well. An experience like ours will leave a bad taste in your mouth and will cost you a mere $65.05 !

Picked Woodland just because of the high rate in comments on internet, but turned out to be very disappointing. The fillings of wantons and dumplings are some black, appeared deteriorated meat or whatever stuffs. Only a few choices were served at the buffet counter, doughy fried stuff, not even tantalizing at the very least.

We ordered 2 spring rolls, lemon chicken, house chow main and beef tomato fried rice. The spring rolls came in about 10 min. the chicken 10 min later. The chow main 30 min later and the beef tomato fried rice 20 min later after having to ask when it was coming. The food is good but go for the take out. We will NEVER eat in there again
