Nine Mile Bar Bistro

On this visit, we opted for two Two Course Specials priced at £14.50 each. For starters, we had battered Chicken Goujons, which came in a generous portion, and Tempura-coated Prawns. Both dishes were excellent, and the Chicken alone would have been sufficient as a main course for my wife, who is a small eater. For the main courses, my wife chose Beef Stroganoff while I had Salmon in Dill sauce. Normally, we usually go for just main courses, which meant we had to take home the chips that came with the Stroganoff. A pint of Moretti costs £3.50, and a large glass of Chardonnay is £5.00. Our total bill, without tips, came to £37.50. The atmosphere in the hotel's main bar is simple yet cozy. It's just a 10-minute drive from Dumfries to this hotel, and I believe it's worth the small effort.

We stopped by for dinner while passing through and were pleasantly surprised. We had dined here before, but the restaurant has made significant improvements. The gluten-free options were the best we've found in the area, which was great since my partner has celiac disease. Both the gluten-free and regular dishes were excellently prepared, abundant, and offered great value. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend giving it a try!

Popped in for a quite drink,nice atmosphere staff and locals made us feel welcome,went back following night for dinner,the food was excellent so will definately be back next time visiting the area

I don’t have much to say about it just yet. I’ll update everyone after I’ve visited a few more times. The new owners appear to be doing a great job!
