Applebee's - Dumfries

The service is consistently excellent! Appetizers and drinks are half price from Monday to Friday, between 3 PM and 6 PM and again from 9 PM until closing! The bartender is very generous and makes every drink delicious. Kudos to Applebee's! It's also convenient that it's only a short walk from my house.

The restaurant has a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere that allows everyone to unwind in a judgment-free space. I was truly impressed by the hospitality and excellent customer service. I will definitely be returning in the future!

The food was fantastic; however, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant left something to be desired. Occasionally, the background music would abruptly stop, and you could clearly hear the employees' music playing loudly in the back. The choice of music was unprofessional and not suitable for a dining environment, featuring tracks like a Cardi B song and "Bust Down Thotiana." This was definitely not the kind of ambiance I expect in a restaurant and detracted from the overall dining experience.

I've visited many different Applebee's locations, and this one is by far the worst I've experienced. When I first entered, there was no host to greet me, and I had to wait about 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged that I was waiting to be seated, including the manager, who was only a few tables away assisting other guests. After a couple left the bar, I quickly took their seats, but after waiting another 5 minutes, I finally decided to wave down one of the bartenders just to place my drink order. I understand it was a Friday night at 11 PM, but as a bartender myself, I know that poor customer service won't get you very far.

I will never return. This was the worst service I've ever experienced. First, our food arrived an hour late and was cold. Second, the waitress rarely checked on us. Third, after we finished our appetizers, they left all the empty plates on the table. To top it off, they advertised a happy hour from 3-6 PM that supposedly includes all bar drinks and appetizers at half price, but they charged us full price for the appetizers, claiming they weren't included. They really need to provide accurate information—this could be considered false advertising. Don't waste your time; choose another restaurant.
