Gie-gie's Sports - Dumaguete

I went for food. Burger was overcooked and a bit dry with some gristle. Fixings simple. Fries seemed like the frozen narrow things, associate mediocre quality. Appeared to me they just aren't trying hard enough to make a good burger plate.

Good breakfast. Quick friendly service. Reasonable prices. Easy to find.

The breakfast menu and the burgers are excellent. The service and servers are sweet.

In my original review of Gie Gie's, I said that the burgers, subs and bbq were all excellent. That's still the case, but I've been back a couple of times with not so good results. I recently went, and nothing I ordered that morning was available. I tried another day for breakfast. The coffee was **** poor. The omelet was passable, but nowhere near the best in town. The toast was hard as marble and inedible.

We all know there are a lot of restaurants/bars in this city of ours. So what about Gie-Gie's? First and foremost it is a haven for many reasons/people. An international place with USA roots. It is a sports bar at least. And for a sports bar the food is real good! And as an eating establishment it is a damn good sports bar! Get the picture? I gave it 4 stars. Why? The combination of everything adds up. And the staff is so friendly! For me a win/win...That is until my Minnesota Vikings play. Lately we lose lose...
