Cibo Locale - DULWICH

The cafe wasn't crowded Sunday morning but, unfortunately, no outdoor tables were free. And, like previous visits, there were no water glasses for the self-serve water - we checked a couple of times and staff assured us they'd bring glasses but none arrived. I discovered some hot glasses near the water spout over 20 min after asking for them Meanwhile, our coffees arrived. I rated my cappuccino 6.5|10 so didn't bother with a second. Two of our 3 dishes arrived 10 minutes later - the third dish after another 5 minutes My avocado rye toast, feta, slow-roasted tomato, coriander, lime [$16] with poached egg [$3] was one small rye slice with about 1|3 a small avocado and a sceric of feta, with a pile of coriander, half a lime and a tasteless, watery half tomato. This meagre dish would have been more disappointing without the egg on the side The poached egg, avocado, heritage tomatoes, smoked salmon, dukkah, labne, rye [$20] was a more substantial dish, attractively presentedSummary - poor coffee, lacklustre|overpriced dishes and average service. Just buy some more water glasses!

Cibos is the third cafe on this corner. No, that's not too many - it's a wonderful suburban corner with traditional corner shops, a church, parking, north-facing areas for the cafes to catch the winter sun, and a local community that loves to come out for coffee and catch up with everyone. Cibo's coffee is good, the atmosphere is fun and funky, there are both indoor and outdoor seating areas and it's always popular on weekends.

Lovely little cibo Locale located in Dulwich South Australia. Definitely great service. The breakfast was delicious and they have just started serving dinner on Friday evenings.

The sudden appearance of this gorgeous eatery, has provided much needed competition into this area. The owners and staff are very friendly (a welcome change!), the daytime food is great, but now the eatery is open for dinner on Friday nights. We were not disappointed by our evening visit, the food was good (although portions not huge), the deserts were to die for! (thanks to the helpful waiter Matt for suggesting we stay and sample these!) There was a slight delay with our third main meal coming out, and though we didn't complain about this, we were provided with a complimentary bottle of mineral water to compensate us. The decor is great, including the exposed brick area and the photo frame wall. The red picket fence and matching frontage is knockout. The only improvement I can suggest is that I usually avoid the cafe when it's raining and when I'm with my 1 and 3 year old nieces. A small inside play area or outside undercover play area, would mean I'd bring my custom here on those wet wintery days.

We had the most amazing dinner here tonight!!! Not your normal cibo the most fantastic meals and wine would happily come again and again ... Thankyou so much for a wonderful night
