I was in search of a lunch spot and decided to visit J. Christopher's once again. Upon arrival, I was seated promptly and my drink order was taken right away. There were plenty of open tables. I ordered the Blueberry Crunch Cakes accompanied by Oven Roasted Potatoes, which were not fried hash browns. My food arrived quickly, nice and hot, and was quite enjoyable. The coffee, while decent, was a bit weak for my taste; I prefer my coffee to have a stronger flavor. Overall, the rest of the service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. As for parking, it was easy to get in and out with plenty of available spaces.
I ordered an omelette, but the vegetables were completely raw. It seemed like they just mixed in the chopped veggies with the eggs, folded it, and served it without any sautéing. The onions remained crunchy and raw, along with the other ingredients. Where was the seasoning? Even salt and pepper couldn't salvage it. To make matters worse, the food was cold when served. The English muffin was cold as well, and the butter I put on top just sat there, refusing to melt. Overall, I left feeling dissatisfied and disappointed.
Literally the crepes are the best things ever. Our server Hannah C was the absolute sweetest. Amazing service and super kind and friendly. we will be back :
My recent experience at the Duluth J Christopher's was excellent. The service was efficient and accurate thanks to Monique. The fact that we were a group of nearly 20 didn't make things easy but the food was delicious brunch cuisine and arrived hot and tasty.
