Great place. 15 minutes from the main railway station. beautiful beer garden . day menu between 12-17. wonderful timewriting that describes what is in the offer where it is out and a description of the drink.

This restaurant/bar offers more than 20 beers on tap and all in all about 250 beers on the menu. Go there if you fancy hearty international food and like to try a good selection of international beers. The place is popular with students and locals...alike. They have a quiz-night on most Mondays.

This is a typical college student hangout except for the amazing beer selection. It currently stands at 222 beers and will soon reach 300 when the new menu comes out. The food is good pub food, some of it even great. There are several negative...comments about the service. IMHO, service is normal for a German pub, no better, no worse. Unless you are doing fine dining in Germany, expect to have to flag down a server or even go to the bar to ask to be served. While this is odd for American expectations, it is completely normal here and no one gets too upset about it. People prefer to be left alone at the table to have a conversation and often will sit there for many hours. The outdoor seating area is nice and large. There are many rooms inside. Not all are always served. Signage in and around the bathrooms is very humerus Beer Return Area etc.

Our big group of 16 was mostly from nearby and knew and loved the place already. It was new to me, but I was immediately impressed with the huge selection of beers. We went on a cold, damp Wednesday night, but the place was cheery...and the service was fine. Pretty good selection of regional foods, but even coming from the southern US, I picked a Duisburg-style pulled-pork sandwich. I liked it big shreds of moist pork with sauerkraut in a flatbread sandwich. The fragile bread made picking it up unwise, but knife and fork worked fine. ;

The place is nothing special, very loud, the only attractive thing is the beer menu. There is really a big choice with beers from all over the world, unfortunately the service is terrible. Two hours to get food is not acceptable. I was with a...big group of people and all of them got their food after more than one our waiting. My order unfortunately was forgotten from the kitchen and I had to wait even longer to get at the end a burned burger, really disappointing.
