Finkenkrug - Duisburg

The selection of drinks is huge. It is difficult to get to the desired drink in an acceptable time. A quick operation is expected in a pub, especially with a small number of visitors. Beer, fantastic, eat very well! but not for the first time I was charged wrongly! I don't suggest it was intentional, but it happened again. if you order a beer, please make sure that the right price on your...bill, mistakes are easy to make!

A short walk (15min) from the main railway station. a great place to sit a chat with friends and enjoy a beer from everywhere on the world. a fantastic selection of beers from all over the world.

Duisburg has only a few places I would talk to friends for an evening. yes, finkenkrug is visited by university students (the uni is a stone's throw away after all), but knowing the picture of a college bar in the usa, this is fully civilized and suitable even for the work area. When I first arrived, they had dogfish head on their daily special menu that I ordered right away. yes, Germany has excellent sorts and I enjoy them immensely, but if you are home from your former home, good, even a familiar beer can help. point is, I am always impressed by the beer menu (both permanent and daily special selection), and eating is of generous portions and is not at all shady. the service was neither terrible nor naval. they think of finkkrug as a place where the local (and the inhabitants of the neighboring cities) regularly hang up. it is not beautiful, but is (almost) a basic element when it lives in the ruhr area.

Great place. 15 minutes from the main railway station. beautiful beer garden . day menu between 12-17. wonderful timewriting that describes what is in the offer where it is out and a description of the drink.
