Contribuiți la feedbackOMG what an excellent restaurant! Our server, Felicia, was nothing short of amazing; friendly, conversational, and she gave excellent recommendations for everything from appetizers to entrees to wine and dessert. Today was our 30th anniversary and this was absolutely the perfect place to celebrate! Awesome sunset views to top it all off.
We had a great meal here on our beach trip. Food, service, and ambiance all were great. We needed reservations even for a week day but there was outdoor and bar seating available until ~6:30 before it was full.I had the she crab bisque to start which was really nice, not as creamy and thick as some places. Very good flavor and even a little spicy. For entrees I ordered the fried catfish based on the recommendation of our server and my husband had the beef tenderloin. We almost never order steaks out because often make them better at home, but this was cooked to a perfect medium rare with a sear and flavorful, complementary sauce. My fish was juicy and tasty. It came with a bean and rice mix that had some alligator sausage in it and homemade pickled veggies. One of my favorite meals in a long time!!!! For dessert we had key lime pie which my Floridian husband said was very much up to par- and he has high standards for a key lime pie.The cocktails were strong and our server also gave me a good wine recommendation. Apps and entrees spaced out well, waters never went empty and we were very happy overall.
Omg, The Blue Point never disappoints!!! Hands down, my favorite restaurant in OBX. Jamie and the staff were outstanding. Our 2 servers (at the bar were wonderful. The pork chop and flounder were spot on. Perfectly cooked, seasoned just right, the servings very large. We’ve already made another reservation for four, within seven days. Thank you so much Bluepoint. BTW, the hubster loved his Tangueray gin martini!! Parking: We found parking, but it was tight. It’s only because it’s the best food on the outer banks. :
Fantastic meal here with coworkers and friends recently. Our server was new and he did a great job. The sushi was excellent, the drinks were fabulous and the decor is cool.
The Blue Point has a uniquely interesting menu, this is not your average boardwalk restaurant. it is much more sophisticated than I had expected. With a menu that incorporates a significant amount of vegetables into every dish, it is a gamble for me to rely heavily on one entree, I tend to fear the unknown of too much greenery. The fresh burrata spiced butternut squash puree was an enlightening small plate, the rustic croutons and even the seared apples complimented the squash puree very well. Either way you can't go wrong with squash, it's an equally universal vegetable as the carrot. If you like salad and Gnocchi, you may just adore the house made cornmeal gnocchi. But if you're like me and prefer to keep the salad separate from the main attraction, this entree was too heavy on the baby kale shiitakes for me.I am sure you will find the comfortable and casual environment right on the water and easy place to sit back and enjoy an intimate conversation regardless. Cheers!
