The Hitching Post - Dubois

Plenty of space, great staff, it has an intimate atmosphere that is very welcoming. They serve food, they are open later than others in the region. I wish they hadn't closed at 9 on Sunday, but it's not unusual with bars I can't really complain about. Has not tried the food, but it looked good and everyone else enjoys it was recommended. Very recommended.

Great place to play for drinks and pool. I ordered her steak eggs, it was boiled properly, but the quality felt as if it was missing, the steak was boiled in a pan; Came with a side salad, much too much onions, medium best. Our server said she hated the city, but is stuck there because of the family

A nice diving bar, in the hip, with several pool tables and a shuffle board for entertainment. Overall, the food was quite standard to slightly above average bar food. The fries were definitely good and crispy! A few complaints. 1. They were from a few things on the menu that we were excited (mills, ribs, crab legs). But it is Covid-so I will give them the advantage of doubt that this was a distributor problem. 2. The menu online to which you are directed when you sit does not reflect the prices calculated. My Steak dinner was still 1 and we saw a fee for frits with the sandwich that surprised us. 3. There is a 2 credit card fee. WOW, just WOW. I've never seen anything like that. And, they use Square, which is a very affordable credit card processing company compared to traditional credit card processors, where you usually see fees of .50 or around that for credit transactions under a certain amount. In summary, while we only paid 4 more than we expected, what is not much I suspect it was a surprise and it left us in an acidic state at departure. I'm not sure we'd return in the near future. I really wanted to be thrilled about this place, as it said it was a “woman led” business on Google, and I would like to support my fellow women, but please contact the questions outlined above. Pool tables and a dartboard. Beer is cold food comforting. Wings were crispy and the only place where I found good broken frits with brown engraving. No judgment. Only cash, but they have an ATM.
