The Avenue Steak Tavern - Dublin

I recently dined at this fantastic restaurant for dinner, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The price per person was between $20 and $30, which felt reasonable given the quality of the experience. The food was absolutely superb, deserving a perfect rating of 5 out of 5. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The service was equally impressive, also earning a 5 out of 5. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. As for the atmosphere, it was simply delightful and equally deserving of a perfect 5. The ambiance created a warm and inviting environment that enhanced our dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful dinner experience!

When my salad arrived, the waiter also brought out some dinner rolls fresh from the oven. I was trying to resist the bread, but they were so warm they practically begged to be eaten! The Caesar salad was just the right portion and came included with the entrée, along with the sautéed mushrooms—refreshing to see something different from the usual steakhouse sides. The ribeye was very good. I've had better cuts of meat before—this one was a bit tougher—but the flavor was outstanding! I don't think I'll ever cook a steak at home without buttering it before serving again. The waiter gave me a bottle of their special steak seasoning and suggested I try it on everything, even the bread. Although that sounded a bit strange, I went for it and was pleasantly surprised. The steak didn’t require any extra seasoning, but it really enhanced the flavor of the mushrooms. I was in and out in just over 30 minutes, which was impressive. I also noticed some incredible desserts being served while I dined, and I can't wait to try one next time!

Our server, Matty, greeted us shortly after we sat down. He was incredibly personable and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu and happy hour specials. We started off with a couple of drinks: I ordered an espresso martini, and my partner opted for a vodka soda. We also tried the happy hour steak bites, fries, and escargot toast. The drinks arrived quickly and were delicious! The food followed shortly, and everything was excellent. The highlight for me was definitely the fries—they were thin and incredibly tasty. Matty continued to engage and entertain us throughout our happy hour meal. We enjoyed his service so much that we decided to stay for dinner. We ordered the bone-in NY strip special and a ribeye. Our entrees also came with a salad to start, making it quite the feast. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the sides were fantastic! We had an amazing evening, largely thanks to the world-class service we received. We can't wait to return!

Was actually kind of excited to try somewhere new for my husband and I’s 1 year wedding anniversary. The food was OK at best. My steak had a great texture, but had almost no flavor. Maybe my standards are too high for steak after visiting Chicago steak houses recently. Also, our server took our order and that was the last time we saw him. Our food was brought out by someone else, we had drinks and he only offered to refill them when he FINALLY made his way back to the table as we were asking for check. When we sat down he offered us a dessert on the house since it was our anniversary, but by that time came we were just ready to leave rather than be ignored again. Also when I tried to ask about parking validation the greeting staff either didn’t hear me or didn’t want to pay attention to me, so we just left and paid the $7. Was a shame to spend over $100 and it be subpar.

Everyone from the Hostesses to the Food Runners are respectful and spot on with their knowledge of the menu and how a restaurant should be run. Cameron Mitchell does things right...these folks are dialed in from the start! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
