Contribuiți la feedbackOnce again table was very disappointing. The table was so small we had to condense our sides to have sufficient space. To be honest this continues to be issue when booking via open table...my assumption is the restaurants only offer the worst tables for OT guest.
Another great experience at Hyde Park Dublin. It started right from the time you walk in the door when we greeted by the host at the front door. Service from start to finish was impeccable. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The lighting is a little dem for me but it does make it romantic after we I was done trying to read the menu. The lobster bisque was awesome as always. The calamari was a little disappointing but it didn't keep us from eating it. We shared a chop salad. We both had the sea bass for our main entree and it was delicious as always. It's basically what we both order every time we dine there. Steve was AWESOME once again as he has been our server in the past. He made some great recommendations. Very nice and professional at what he does. He brought us a complimentary dessert since we were celebrating our anniversary. I finished the evening with a nice cappuccino. I appreciated the servicing size as most restaurant's cappuccinos are small and insignificant for the price. My wife had the butter cake for dessert and she enjoyed it. Thanks to the staff for making our anniversary dinner special.
Chris, our waiter is a true professional. A wonderful evening.
I know this is a steak place so I probably shouldn’t get the oysters, but I did. These un-fresh oysters were an abomination. It might seem harsh to give one star because of a single dish but for a restaurant, supposedly of this quality, if you can’t do raw oysters well then they shouldn’t be on the menu at all. Even the mignonette was awful. The weird gelatinous consistency looked like something from a jar. The beef carpaccio was good but the whole point of this dish is the beef but it was covered in so much mustard sauce and cheese that it was hard to appreciate the fresh beef but maybe it wasn’t fresh. Maybe that’s the problem. And the sliders were ok, but unremarkable. So I guess it wasn’t just one dish. Everything was disappointing in some way but the oysters stuck out for the abomination that they were. Anyway, if you’re curious what good oysters look like, I suggest The Jones Oyster Co in Greenville, South Carolina. That’s it. The end.
Came to Happy Hour and fell in love with Laurie!! Her cocktail suggestions were amazing as was the food!! Cheers to the bed at their craft! ?
