Nice casual, family friendly spot. Had a quick bite before cinema with Mum. Really light tomato bruschetta tasty and conveniently served in four mini slices. Mum had the bass special which is good, but not worth the 20squids. My pollo diavola was tomatoey, full of flavour would have liked more heat though. Side salad was on the bland and uninspired side...!

A solid Italian in ranelagh. Just home from a birthday dinner for my mother. She really enjoyed it with such fantastic service. <br/ We got the Mediterranean prawns and bread and dips to start. The prawns were simple but packed with flavour of garlic and chilli. <br/ For mains, I got the con gamberi pizza which was crisp and had a great layer of toppings chilli, basil and prawns. My brother went with my recommendation of the caprino picante with goats cheese, chorizo and caramelized onions. I was very jealous of it, it's so delicious! <br/ The winner was my mum, the lasagna it was unbelievable you could bottle the sauce.<br/ <br/ For dessert, we shared the tiramisu and death by chocolate. Both were very decadent but well worth a taste

Went here for dinner last night. The food was great I got the large prawn salad and the prawns were real fresh. The pizzas seemed great and you choice of extra toppings keeps everyone satisfied. The waitress was slightly odd asking us to lift are plates up to and pass her things. Maybe she was just tired

Friendly Italian restaurant, very welcoming staff. Excellent pizzas I always request pine nuts on mine : I've, more often than I should have, received a pizza with a topping or two missing or incorrect, but it all tastes very good so I usually don't mind!

My favourite Italian by a mile.<br/ <br/ The food is simple Italian done to perfection. Lovely for a chilled date night or a nice casual family dinner. The pizzas are delicious and a decent size. <br/ <br/ Dinner for two; Bruschetta to share (we have learnt from experience that one is plenty for two), 2 large pizzas and a lovely bottle of wine € 57. Cant go wrong.<br/ The only flaw with Mario's is on the last 2 occasions the service has not been the greatest and the staff wouldn't be the friendliest, but the food compensated for this ten times over.
