Macari's - Dublin Road, Ratoath

I was in the mood for some fish and chips, so I headed down to Macari's to try their take on it. The place is not super nice, but well, it's a takeaway place. Both the fish and the chips were cooked to order, which is always a good touch. The food was piping hot! Anyway, the fish was a bit too greasy, but you could tell that it was a good fillet and it tasted good, even without the batter surrounding it. The chips were very big and well fried. I asked for some salt and vinegar, but a little more would have made the meal a bit tastier. It was a very nice portion for a good value. I just wish the sauces weren't so expensive, because some garlic sauce would have been a good addition.
