The Bloody Stream - Dublin

Had a lovely lunch here, but beware! There are two gardens at the **** Stream. There’s a beer garden, and a food garden. But worry not, you can have beer in the food garden (pictured below), but you can’t have food in the beer garden. Once you’ve navigated this, the food, staff and atmosphere is gorgeous! We had the mussels and the steak sandwich both delicious! If you’re visiting Howth this is a lovely little spot. Shout out to Sean of Port Marnock for sending us here here’s to you Sean Sláinte!

A great place to stop for a pint of Guinness, especially if you can get one of the tables outside in the sun. There are lots of pubs in Howth, this one is tucked away beside the station, whilst it’s always busy, it feels hidden. Great service, great pint. Well worth a visit

We visited for dinner before a gig during the Howth Roots and Blues festival. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. We had lovely seats we reserved in advance and the staff and service were lovely. We returned after the gig to find a great live band playing on the back terrace. We highly recommend this place for food and atmosphere.

I have been to the **** Stream on many occasions since moving into Howth in May of this year. My daughter came to visit this weekend and I suggested the **** Stream. We both had the fish n chips (I’d had this before and it was very nice). However tonight the fish wasn’t great quite mushy as if it was frozen. We ate some of it but left most of the fish but ate the chips which were very good. When the waiter came to clear the table he asked if everything was ok and I just mentioned we hadn’t eaten all the fish as it wasn’t great. I said I didn’t want to make a fuss. The manager came over and was very put out and made us feel very awkward. The manager said he would go and speak to the chef, he didn’t come back to us but sent the waiter with 50% off the food bill. I was a little surprised with the manager’s approach and not sure that I would visit there again. We left and found somewhere else to continue the evening.
