Once inside the door you place your order with the counter person/cook and wait for take away or find a seat is this old but clean seating area. The food is delivered to the table and found the portions large and one of the best Fish and Chips we've had. Only problem is that we wanted a beer and they don't serve any alcohol.!
Brought 2 visiting American friends based on chipper's reputation and visits years back (ich bin Dubliner). Never (ever) again. Cold flaccid (yip) chips, cod aptly named (no codding). Embarassing €40 big Dublin rip-off. A V O I D
Best tasting fried fish/seafood in Ireland!! Stopped at a smaller take out spot near Darkey Kelly's for a lunch bite
Have to say for a chipper with such great history it was very disappointing. One big bag of grease my fresh cod was past its sell by date and I was unable to eat it. As a dublin man I am sad to say I will never cross the door of this establishment again. Avoid.
After all the hype, we made to Leo Burdocks World Famous Fish Chip's. It was late and of course there is no inside seating, only take away. A very impressive list of famous people who had ordered their fish and chips. Made it back to the room and opened the package. Plenty of product, large fish fillets and chips. The best part. OMG it was really good. So if your ever in Dublin, Leo Burdocks is a must.
