Kinkhao Thai Athlone Ireland - Dublin

Absolutely love kin khao, and I’ve been coming here for several years. This includes sit in and takeaway. The service is just so good very friendly, fun, lighthearted and one time when I asked for something extra spicy, the waiter came out with a blend of spices to make it EXTRA spicy if I wished. I just loved that touch! (I was too scared to use the blend) I get regular take outs from here, always a total treat. If I had one small complaint on this is that sometimes the takeaway boxes leak. However it hasn’t stopped me from ordering.

We had dinner in Kin Khao thai last weekend and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment you walk in the door you feel the lovely atmosphere, full of laughter and chatter, the decor is just perfect, the staff are so welcoming, helpful and engaging. The menu choice was very authentic and the food was just delicious, starters, mains and dessert. I would highly recommend this restaurant for it super food and great service.

The food was bland, takeaway style. Waiter was extremely rude. Waiters jokes made me uncomfortable, and I wanted to leave before food even arrived. Should've left.

Beef in oyster sauce BAD bland Tofu AWFUL! bland, the worst EVER ever Egg noodles BAD! Worse than store bought Wan tons BAD soggy what kinda meat?? Chicken wings BAD! bland taste cheap Pork ribs BAD! no flavour except tomato sauce tasted old cheap. This was a disgusting take away meal. The portions were tiny but since it was so s**t, that 's not the main problem. I was so, so hungry, so usually in that case I would enjoy anything but this food is very, very bad. God, I fell for the hype again. Michelin star??? WHAT? HOW!? Never ever again. No quality or anything. AVOID!

Best Thai Food in Ireland? A resounding yes! The food is extraordinary, fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff are very attentive and friendly. It’s my new regular spot when I’m Athlone. Well done to all the team.
