Darios - Dublin

I placed an order on an app at 9:30, called at 10:30 and was told my order was on its way. However, it still hasn't arrived, and they won't refund my money even though I never received the food. I advise staying away from this place, as the staff and management are very rude.

I do not recommend using this restaurant on Just Eat. My delivery was 30 minutes late, the food was cold and congealed, and they still charged my card despite me refusing to accept the food. When I tried to get a refund, they said they would only give me one if I took down my negative review, which amounts to blackmail. Avoid using Dario's delivery service on Just Eat at all costs.

If you had to sum up the year 2020 in one meal, it would probably be from Darios. It's disappointing, lackluster, and leaves you feeling like you're eating bad news about losing your job. I don't understand how they can offer such low-quality food and still expect to keep customers satisfied by serving them mediocre dishes. They need to improve the quality of their service. This was once the best delivery service chipper in Dublin 15 bar none, hands down winner. We've been ordering from here since they opened, must be nearly 15 years ago. They were great, super prompt, great food, good portions reasonable prices and all the delivery drivers were sound and a bit of craic, there was nothing to fault. They were so good we switched completely from our previous favourite of many years, Romayo's in Clonsilla village. Over the last few years however things began to slide, the prices crept up, the portions shrunk a little, but hey everything else was great so no real problem. Then the quality began to slide, less sauce and toppings in the burgers, cheaper meat in the kebabs, soggier chips, but hey they're still prompt so we'll keep going. Then the prices start to rise quicker, until they are one of the most expensive chippers in the area, and the quality continues to slide, gritty texture to the kebab meat, bland meat in the burgers, cheap paper on the fish that embeds itself into the batter resulting in half the batter pealing away and ending up in the bin, the slide in quality had become evident in every item we ordered from the menu, oh and a little tip for Darios, when wrapping say a kebab wrap in paper, the paper should not be entwined and rolled in with the food as seems to have become standard practice here, it should only be on the outside of the food... They introduced their own app which gives you every 7th order free so some of the value returned but there's a catch the coupon you receive is only valid for 10 days! So you gotta use it quickly or lose out, at least on Marvin.ie the coupons don't expire. Then the whole ordering and delivery service seemed to fall apart, delivery times went from 20 to 40 minutes to a minimum of an hour. Extras such as cheese, although paid for would regularly be forgotten. The biggest problem, however, is that on the last 3 occasions we ordered from them they forgot an item and we had to wait for a second delivery leaving one person without their full meal for approximately an extra hour. Once is a mistake, twice is careless but 3 times in a row? It gets worse, on the last order they forgot one of the burgers, we naturally rang them to request the missing item, they acknowledged they had missed it and promised it would be with us shortly. An hour later (and now approx 2 hours since the initial order was placed) there's still no sign of it, we ring again and are told sorry, it was forgotten again, and has not been cooked yet! This was the final straw, informed them of this and asked for a refund and swore never to use them again. The refund to the card for the missing item was processed a few minutes later by them, but unbelievably they even got this wrong and omitted the refund for the extra cost cheese option on the burger. Truly the once mighty have fallen, I would now never give them my custom again after well over a decade of loyal patronage. On the upside, we have rediscovered Romayo's (who we used to use before Dario's opened) and have found cheaper prices, quality food and delivery etc, in fact, all the attributes we originally switched to Darios for!
