I ordered food from Boojum on Kevin Street on Saturday through Just Eat and half the food didn’t arrived and what did arrive wasn’t even what I ordered. I only ordered two items a bowl and a burrito and all I got sent was a bow and a bag of chips which I didn’t even order. The bowl that came did not even include half of the ingredients that I ordered and was not even half full. The burrito was never sent in the ordered which had a number of additional ingredients included in it for additional costs cost over €11 just for that alone. When I rang Boojum on Kevin Street I was told it was not their problem and that it was Just Eats problem even though Boojum is the company which attempted to make the order. The bag that the food came in clearly had the receipt for the items bought and it was obvious even by the length of the receipt which was stapled onto the bag that there was more than a bowl and a bag of chips in it. There is clearly no care whatsoever from the team in this restaurant who just could not be bothered. Any person could have seen even by picking the bag up when handing it to the delivery driver that it was incorrect but they didn’t bother and now I’m not getting compensation apparently for this lack of customer service. Dreadful experience overall and is apparent that other people have had the same issues.
I go every week for a college lunch. Staff are always lovely. The bowls are huge and taste amazing. Lime rice, vegetables, pulled pork, mild salsa, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and guacamole. Even with student discount can be more than €7 usually €10 if your getting guacamole or a drink. Tables are always full around 1 or 2 for lunch. 11:30 when they open is the best time to go. Scanning the app to work up a free meal is great. Overall great value.
Usually love Boojum and am a frequent customer but not at this branch. Today at breaktime -circa 11am ish I paid for parking and trundled in to the Kevin St Branch. Nobody in the establishment. I ordered food, Food was prepared. Went to pay for food and was told NO CASH ACCEPTED since COVID !! No signs stating this were anywhere. The lad who told me this was utterly disinterested and said it's not his problem it was a management decision. No manager there to speak with of course. Complete waste of time, effort and food. Usually don't write reviews but now I am HANGRY and really wanted my burrito :
Ordered online. I arrived early. Stood in a queue behind 4 people for 10 minutes before finally being able to ask where to go for pick up/collection. Once the guy behind the till finally acknowledged my existence and understood my question (didn’t seem to speak English? he just pointed at the other side of the restaurant. I then went over. Stood for another 10 minutes, to which point the employee finally came over and took my order out of a cupboard which had been sitting in there the whole time!!!! I’d already shown up early, but then 10 mins queue time another 10 mins waiting for the employee my food was STONE cold! Miserable service, miserable food. Won’t be back thanks a lot!
