Bleeding Horse - Dublin

Will not be a returning customer. Food is well below average and over priced. I ordered the soup of the day and it was just a bowl of watered down vegtables, I had to add salt and pepper to make it somewhat edible. The staff got drink orders incorrect on more than one occasion, there was a serious lack of training and not a manager in sight to delegate the staff on the floor. Security guards at the door act as if the place is a night club. Extremely rude. I left the pub and forgot my jacket when I went back to return they refused me to enter. They had very poor English to begin with so I'm not sure if they even understood. If your looking to go to an authentic Irish pub stay clear of this place. Not one Irish employee in sight. The bleeding horse is a money racket. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. If your looking for a nice Irish pub with good food and friendly staff go to devitts down the road instead.

We were there during the college football weekend and the pub was really crowded. Our bartender pointed us to some seats at the bar which was a great place to observe all of the people. He was really nice (I forgot his name, sorry) and suggested some drinks which were amazing. We had lunch and I have to say the Guinness Pie was one of the best meals I had on the entire trip. There's nothing like sitting in a Irish pub, drinking Jameson and watching the locals watch the tourists. If I ever get to return to Dublin, this will be one of my stops.

This restaurant was adjacent to our hotel had dinner. My better half had a margarita (not that good) and chicken tenders (a bit dry), I had beef and Guinness pie (very good). A bit noisy as expected.

We had a memorable family dinner here on our last night in Dublin 12 years ago and decided to return this trip. I booked a dinner reservation on Open Table and we arrived promptly as scheduled. The hostess claimed no record of the reservation until I showed her the email confirmation I had received on my iPhone. She then found us a high top table for four near the very noisy bar. Food was OK typical pub grub but our server was hard to find.
