Friday nights standing room only, great buzz! Meals are good with $10 special choices. Away from the CBD a good choice.

Being in this area for 8 years, went for first time after hearing such good reviews!!Good points - location( away from city traffic) and lots of parking n Ok fish n chips .Now the stuff that put me off completely !!1. The order took 50 minutes!!! I have never ever waited this long in any part of the world !!2. When we requested glasses for soft drinks , they gave us all adults PLASTIC disposable ones !! Besides being environmentally bad , this was NOT a kids meal!!! They were 150 ml volume ones . Never ever seen this before in a bistro / pub place !!3. The Chicken parmigiana was BURNT !!4. The sticky date pudding was worse one i ever had . The serving style was like it was just dumped on the plate .!!I have stricken this off my eating places and will dissuade others too .5. Money wasted here .

The Tavern is quite a bit out from Central Dubbo but they do run a free shuttle bus and if you have your own vehicle it is no real problem. Certainly well worth going the extra distance as the meals are terrific. We had 2 of the specials, bangers and mash and chicken schnitzel (from memory $10.00 each). Both were extremely large meals with the fresh schnitzel nearly filling the plate on it's own. Cooked in lovely golden breadcrumbs which showed that they regularly change their oil. Would have to be the best meals in Dubbo as we have been to various other places (Clubs) over our visits to Dubbo over the years and have always been disappointed. Very friendly staff. Will always make this our place of choice now in Dubbo.

Called for dinner Saturday night. Casual and friendly with an reasonable menu. Will not break the wallet with some $10 meals. We both had bangers and mash. No complaints. Beer is cold.good service.

Went with some friends. Decent and reasonably priced food. Lot's of live sport if that's your thing. Good place for a Friday or Saturday night.
