The Meating House - Drums

I visited the restaurant this evening and understood that there had been a small mishap in the kitchen. We ordered three appetizers, but after an hour and a half, we were finally informed that they had run out of one of them. We then faced another 45-minute wait for the remaining two appetizers. The duck wings were tough, but the calamari was very good. Additionally, it seems we were expected to return our own plates. After that, we had to wait another hour and a half for our entrees. Overall, this was definitely not the same dining experience as before COVID.

Delicious steaks cooked to perfection. Staff is diligent and courteous and the prices are surprisingly affordable. Will return (but maybe on a slower night than Friday 7PM).

The food was outstanding, and the service was impressive, all at very reasonable prices, especially considering the quality. Our group of three dined, including drinks and a basic tip, for $135. We chose to leave a larger tip because the service was exceptional. We had a party of nine, which can be challenging for the kitchen, but everything arrived hot and all at once. We've visited several times since this review, and each experience has been fantastic. We’ll keep coming back—never disappointed! After many years of dining here, I can say that, like any restaurant, it has its ups and downs, but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. If you’re looking for a place where you can frequently enjoy a great meal, definitely add this to your list!

Excellent food and service. The appetizers alone could be made into a meal. The outside area is well shaded and pleasant.

Went for a funeral luncheon. Food was terrible. Lemon chicken was literally boiled with zero lemon flavor. Beef tips were steakums broken up with gravy. 0 out of 10 would not recommend. edit I AM the family and never did we ask for fake steak and boiled chicken. Again... worst food I have ever had period and worst for a funeral... i have been to AND been the family of many. Thanks.
