Masala Grill - Drayton Valley

I have a family member who has to be gluten free as they have Celiac disease. This place was looking up because they show quite an extensive gluten free menu. We went for dinner on a Friday evening where I guess most people eat off their smorgasbord. I don't like smorgs and my family member cannot eat off a smorg because of the cross contamination. The cook insisted we check out the smorg none the less and proceeded to tell my family member that even though there were two different types of food, on either side of the same dish, one being gluten free and the other not, that it was fine for him to eat. We concluded that this chef did not know anything about a gluten allergy and were not prepared to take the risk.

My husband and I both enjoy the food and staff at the Masala Grill. We've had Sunday brunch, weekday breakfast , the Masala Dosa is amazing! The Friday night buffet is another big hit with us. Everyone mentions the butter chicken, it is the best! In the evenings dinner with friends is another treat. Where else can you get a glass of wine for under $4? We wish Mani and Brenda much success. May their door be open for many years to come.

They are very nice people make you feel cared about. Have a lot of Gluten Free food even toast for your morning breakfast. The prices are very good. Portions are big. It is a very clean place. Newly renovated.
