Original: I wonder why I always come back because I'm rarely satisfied when I eat the food. Her beef in the Stroganoff is too fat, the noodles are too dry, and the garlic toast was overcooked. I didn't like the choice of soup they offered. Then the service was not impressive. Not even a good experience today.
This location is going above and beyond right now with cautious care, generous hand sanitizer stations all around, and someone manning the buffet entrance handing you your plate, utensils and will even slip on gloves for touching the buffet tongs! They limit children to only going to the buffet with an adult which is good. We bombarded them with our big group last minute and they accommodated us quickly! And last but not least, you can ALWAYS count on Chuck a Rama for their great comfort food. We were the last there and everything was full to the brims with fresh hot food! And their bread pudding is my absolute favorite with a little vanilla ice cream melting on top. ? If you liked this review or thought it was helpful, give it a thumbs up. ?thanks!
Dinner on a Sunday evening. Price $15.99 for dinner buffet per person, and kids under 3 eat free (siding scale based on age for older kids). Clean bathroom! Women 's was out of soap in one dispenser though, and the other dispenser 's non-touch function wasn 't working. Immediately impressed by their salads--all super fresh lettuce and spinach. Would have liked more fresh vegetable options. The broccoli slaw was slightly more mildly dressed than I remember two years ago--perfect amount now. My almost-two-year-old loved their cooked veggies! Rolls were wonderful--and huge. Was glad I had family to share with, because I didn 't want a whole one myself. Only food we really didn 't like was the cod--too dry. Desserts were in 2-3 bite portions. I 'm a little odd and like *one* bite of *everything* so would have liked even smaller, but for most people it looks perfect. Also, no need to go elsewhere for froyo. They 've got their own mini bar. Family friendly, and this location is divided into a few eating 'rooms ' so it also doesn 't get overly loud. Server was friendly and worked to keep the place as clean as possible despite all the kids.
Food here was good quality especially just before they close on a Sunday night. There were some obvious selections that were drier than expected like the sliced roast meats (Turkey, roast beef and ham) and some of the items that had clearly been under warming lamps for a little too long (carrots corn and peas very white, crispy and dry) but the rest of the food was great. Upon our arrival, I asked our cashier about when they close. A Server heard and came over to address my question and said it was a hard close at 8pm, but the cashier then said that they stop accepting guests at 8 and food is put away 10 after 8. We were enjoying our meal and at 7:50 the music cut out, making us feel like they were trying to push us out early.
After our meal, I needed some rolls to go. My son is a total fan of them. Our waitress went out of her way to order her for me. She found the right guy to steal my order. They had baked them fresh in 10 minutes. If I had ordered them online, I would have to wait another 45 minutes before I could get them. Thank you.
