Sam's Pizza - Downingtown

I was searching for a delicious cheese steak in Downingtown and stumbled upon this hidden gem. I was not disappointed - the service was excellent and the cheese steak was really tasty. I will definitely be returning.

Based on the recommendations from Google reviews, I decided to try the cheese steak, chickpeas, and mozzarella sticks at this restaurant. However, I was disappointed with the food. The cheese steak was decent, but the chickpeas tasted like microwave Tyson patties and the mozzarella sticks seemed to be reheated on a flattop. The restaurant has been around for many years, but it doesn't live up to the hype of its 4.5-star rating. I'm starting to wonder if I went to the wrong restaurant.

If you are in Downingtown and you need a good cheesesteak, Sam is your cheesesteak man and possibly a pizza with ham. This was a very good pizza shop cheesesteak. Everything could have been a little better. Everything could have been a little worse. I think there were some grandkids running around. Very good overall experience.

I recently tried their locusts for the first time and they were outstanding. The portion was generous with plenty of meat and vegetables. I highly recommend it and I can't wait to come back and try their pizza.

Sam makes the best cheese steaks in Chester County. Perfect bread, well seasoned steak and all the add ons you?d await. Sam has been taking care of us in Downingtown for decades. Love it!!
