Mimi's Bistro Bakery Downey

The service was horrible. The waitress came by our table 2x total. Once to take our order and the second time to bring the check. No refills. We had to take cutlery from an empty table next to us because she never came by.

The manager and staff were extremely helpful and kind. We had 14 people and although several folks were late, the staff was hugely accommodating.The price, quality of food, and beverages was excellent.

Took over an hour to be seated even though we had reservations. The hostess was very rude with an attitude. She actually physically bumped into 2 different people in our party. The manager definitely doesn’t know how to manage customers on a special events day.

Made reservations for Sunday, May 12th. Due to it being Mother’s Day, I expected some wait time but not a wait time of over 1 hour. The reservation system was poorly executed and planned. If they were not prepared to honor reservation, then don’t have them available. The restaurant also could have limited walk ins as tables needed to be available for reservations.

Reservations were booked for 11 we were not seated until 12. Understanding it was busy and it was Mother’s Day. It seemed like too many reservations were taken or walk-ins were being taken and priority was not given to reservations. When we asked the hostess, what was going on? When we host, she replied with attitude and asked what we wanted her to do about it. She can’t just tell people to leave extremely unprofessional when we were. We were given a dinner menu and told that this is the only thing that we could order from around us, people were still being served food, which is what we made a reservation for, it was not until we got up and did say that we can still take breakfast orders. The waiter was slow because of how packed this place was. I love Mimi’s but honestly, this turned me off to going again on Mother’s Day Mimi mismanaged.
