Melting Pot Downers Grove

Our 10 and 12 year old daughters wanted to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary with us. My husband and I have been there before but not our girls and I knew they were kid friendly. We had reservations and were seated right away. Our 12 year old is avery particular eater and she ate everything from the cheese, entree and chocolate menu! Kevin was our guide. I called him thatbecause he truly guided us through the menu and what would be best. Even the drink suggestion was spot on! He was attentive andfunny. Kevin was amazing!! My family truly enjoyed ourselves!

The Melting Pot offered a unique experience for my first visit, which happened to be on my birthday. Our server, Sabrina, was incredibly friendly; she provided great recommendations and took the time to explain the menu. The spinach artichoke cheese fondue was fantastic! I enjoyed it the most with the veggies and chips. I also tried the Bomb Pop Martini, which was delicious and served frozen. Additionally, I ordered the classic wine flight, which included a drink with each course. The salad was good, and I always request my dressing on the side. The entrée is prepared in a pot right at the table by you, the guest, and our server advised us on the recommended cooking times for each item. I ordered the Pacific Rim, which was tasty overall, although I found the duck to be a bit too tough for my preference. You absolutely have to try the flaming chocolate fondue for dessert; it was amazing! I rated the ambiance a 4 out of 5 because it was a bit dark and not as intimate as I had hoped.

My husband and I have a tradition of celebrating our anniversary at a Melting Pot restaurant, ever since we visited one during our honeymoon and fell in love with it. This time, we were once again impressed with the service. The manager, Zach, went above and beyond by collaborating with my husband to surprise me with candles and rose petals at our table. Our server, Larry, was fantastic and attentive to all our needs. The food was, as always, delicious and incredibly satisfying. It made for a wonderful anniversary celebration before the arrival of our first child in a few months. We truly LOVE dining at Melting Pot because the food and service are exceptional every single time.

Wonderful experience tonight. Larry, the server who took care of me, was so attentive and friendly. When I said I was enjoying a rare night off work, he made this cute little doodle to go with my dessert. Awesome crew and great food- I definitely recommend!

The main drawback was that there was just too much delicious food to choose from! We visited to celebrate two birthdays and received excellent accommodations as a larger group. Smaller parties of two and three were able to share fondue pots, allowing each pot to feature their own selections. It really felt like there were no wrong choices at all!
