The homemade food was delicious, the coffee was excellent, and the garden itself was absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The service we received was top-notch, and we all agreed that we would definitely be returning. The only suggestion we have is that it would be even better if they could offer gluten-free options on their menu, as one of our friends was unable to find anything suitable to eat.
This is a lovely spot to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a snack in the charming gardens. The restaurant is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 16:00.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a leisurely lunch. My two close friends and I felt right at home in this charming place. The service was prompt and incredibly welcoming. It's a pity we only discovered this hidden gem towards the end of the summer season. We'll have to wait until next year to enjoy this delightful dining experience again.
A group of 21 WI members (including some husbands), booked for a midday bite to eat. We had a choice of a wonderful ploughman, lovely sandwiches, or a cream tea, all served in the raised back garden behind a row of cottages, now made into one house. It was a lovely setting with the tea served in teapots with dainty china cups and saucers, and the coffee in cafeterias. The tea room is in the main high street, but not very conspicuous. Although there is a board outside advertising their fare. Highly recommend this for a lunchtime break.
This is how tea rooms used to be and should still be. I sat in the garden which looks like a scene from an old English movie, the service was fantastic and the food was some of the best I have had in a tea room (and I visit them often) A real gem and something I would strongly recommend to friends and family, they also have a Facebook page called Curfew Tea Rooms which the owners update regularly. The also have a shop in the garden which sells a range of things that you just have to see! Come down to St.Margarets and see this truly hidden gem
