La Farmacia - DOUBLEVIEW

I am positive this place shut down a long time ago and has reopened under a totally different business. I do remember the food being pretty average but the coffee was always yummy.

Suffering jet lag and feeling generally upside down, our first visit to La Farmacia was just the friendly kickstart we needed.We were greeted by the barista as we entered and made to feel so welcome. The coffee was rich and creamy-- even my husband's decaf, which is always appreciated. There are feshly-baked goodies and a surprisingly large menu, we were spoilt for choice this brunch.My husband kept it simple with a ham and cheese croissant. I loved my smashed avocado and feta on sourdough. We loved the thoughtful touches, like the beakers of chilled water with fresh mint and lime, and the little ginger cookie with each coffee.Our meals were tasty and there's a limit to how much you can squeeze into one brunch visit, so we'll be returning soon to try out more!

A regular customer over many years with a few breaks when I've moved house. Pleased not to be directed to naturopathic items, and over the counter items are only recommended having taken into account current medications, and cost. Really happy to be able to get medicines not in stock so quickly, though it's often avoided by me phoning to let then know I'll need one of those scripts, and happily my GP can fax thorough scripts if they're needed urgently. The pharmacists also know what I'm on so keep it in stock. One EXCELLENT thing here is that even prescription items can count in the Optimal Card so you can use those points against future purchases. You can be in and out of the pharmacy in mere minutes. Sometimes it's longer, so I'll either just drop off any scripts I need already signed, with a tick on the side the date and a plan to collect them later that day or week; or I'll give them some but just point out the couple I need dispensed then; or I'll just go prepared podcast! Just need to let the staff know you'll be ready when they are! Also, use ths time to comparison shop price match so you can keep all your needs in one pharmacy. Even with supplements, it can be life saving!

I really like the waitress (with curly hair) at this restaurant. She always remembers my name and informs me about the specials. Both my companion and I were impressed by her friendliness. There's no reason for me to dine anywhere else.
