First off, the waiter was so nice to us especially since most places here do not like tourists.
When my French colleague had proposed crepps for lunch, I was a little disappointed, as I had a preventive idea of what that meant; a few slightly stone pancakes with sugar and lemon or some other indispensable swallow. how wrong I was. a large selection of hearty and sweet pancakes, which is the source of carbohydrate, instead of the focus of the plate. had a head and a dessert and impressed both. tasty, well boiled and typical breton with a small bowl of local apfelsine. an unusual restaurant that plays very much on the fact that it was founded in 1951. destined eclectic and worth a visit if they are in douarnenez
There is a an old scale in the foyer with a playful sign on it that says that if you gain weight eating there, they will refund you twice the amount you gain. Au Goûter Breton is eccentric and a delightful place to dine with...the whole family. There are checkered table cloths on the tables and old posters, pictures, and nic-nacs adorn the walls. (Check out the shelf with cans of Saucisse de Hamster hahaha We were there for crêpes and they were scrumptious. I had the tomate, champignon, and emmenthal (tomato, mushroom, and cheese) for dinner and a flaming Marie Galante for desert. They also have a good selection of cidre. Great fun!
