Look at this... on the way back from Panama to Atlanta. I researched and this one is by far an underdog. At first I was like nah, they are closed but WOW. Never have I had this great of pork.

Country folks n down home barbeque. Damn good portions and service with a *y'all come back now, ya hear.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes. For to-go orders, they thoughtfully include utensils, hand wipes, napkins, and salt and pepper packets, all neatly separated from the food by a thin piece of paper, keeping everything organized in one container. The BBQ was delicious, boasting a sweet and tangy flavor, with finely chopped pork and tender ribs. If you prefer your meat without sauce, make sure to request it on the side, as the sweet and tangy sauce is served directly on the meat. The okra was flavorful, and the potato salad, which contained mustard and pickles, added a nice twist to the dish. We also indulged in the strawberry shortcake for dessert, which is made from scratch. This restaurant has been operating for quite some time, featuring a takeout area in the front and a cozy dining area in the back that provides a diner-like atmosphere.

We were on a tight schedule driving from Alabama to Florida, so we decided to stop for a meal at an unconventional hour. Thankfully, our food came out quickly. The chicken and pork were deliciously smoky in flavor. The sides were satisfactory, but I would definitely suggest concentrating on the meat. It looks like they also have a strong takeout business.
