Sandbanks Beach Club

The hotel is located in an excellent spot for access to the harbour and restaurants. The greeting when we arrived was faultless. The lady was welcoming and friendly. The room spacious and with a view of the sea. All sounds great.... Until we turned the taps on and got brown water and a grit like substance. We let the water run and filled 3 bath tubs but still brown and gritty. We called reception and was told to keep running it, it 's fine! A maintenence man then came up emptied the bath, ran water for 10 seconds and said should be fine!! I went to reception and said i couldn 't use the brown water to clean my teeth and asked for bottled water. I was told to go to the bar and buy it! He eventually came back with 2 bottles and was told we can 't change rooms as they are busy. He said we could use a single room to shower in. I declined as we didn 't want to traipse around floors for water! They say its only when something is wrong you know if a service is good and unfortunately this time it wasn 't. We were made to feel like brown water was normal and it was our problem and no apology when we checked out just a 'thanks '. Sandbanks is a beautiful place and we will be back. Just not to this hotel.

The views from the rooms are just stunning. Hotel is on the beach, with 2 restaurants (fish and Italian) during the day pizza is available to order from the beach bar. Lots of outdoor seating places on the patio to have a drink, read a book and take in the views. Staff are friendly. Some parts of the hotel are dated (pool) and places like the room balcony needs a clean. Hence the 4 stars The hotel also has a small indoor pool sauna which is very handy esp if it's raining. It can get busy. I would certainly visit again. Had a very restful couple of days.

Room was a bit dated but clean and functional. The staff friendly and location stunning. Only the British weather is a bit fussy : .

Absolutely loved it. Staff were wonderful especially gentleman on reception and chef so accommodating. Would love to return. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

The reception staff could not have been more helpful ! They were wonderful. Our rooms were upgraded for free when they heard we were having a childhood reunion. The location is perfect and I will be back as soon as possible!
