Man Chun Hong is another place that has been on my list since 2006. Not to be a huge Kimchi fan, Korean places tend to always be frozen by other cuisine in the area. This Sunday morning we drove to Buford Highway and I read some Yelp reviews on the way. Everyone turned around this menu because the chef was Chinese, but grew up in Korea and how this led to interesting Korean dishes.
Great Chinese food! Whenever we pass the buford highway, we only have to stop for a bite in Man Chun Hong. As a Caucasian, I find it incredibly authentic. The service is great, and the food is even better. You start with Bakchoi and pick *something*, which tastes great, although I don't know what it is. The dishes are getting caught. 10/10 for me.
Girls, model pretty and impossible thin, chat with their friends. Young gay men are conversing, voices so silver I look up, expected to see a girl. Young serious Asian males with razor sunglasses appear as if they were to be in a revolutionary Parisian coffee house from an earlier century. Asian families of fifteen or twenty celebrate a birthday. These are typical clientele of Man Chun Hong, a well-respected and popular Chinese cuisine in Doraville. It is known for good food, great noodles and huge portions. It's also a difficult meal to betray. These huge portions make it much more difficult to explore the big menus or menus as they have an American Chinese/Korean Chinese menu and then an authentic Chinese menu. So recently I came here with my family, partly to show them Man Chun Hong and maybe to explore their food a little deeper. Very nice and modern venue. It was so clean and well maintained. Our server was very sweet. The fried squid was amazing. Fried rice was not bad. Just lacked some flavor for my taste. Will definitely be back to try more items on their menu.
