Professional yet friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere was quiet when they opened at 6:30 am. I also appreciated that they used eco friendly straws and carry out boxes.
The Blue Matisse is probably the restaurant area and the Nau lounge is the bar? but they are in the same room with the same folks working both areas and the seating seems to be connected. I split the difference in rating scores here. We had dinner and while the food was great, the service was lacking. It was slow and not too inspired. Our wait person wasn't very attentive, and we had to flag her down several times to get things we needed. So, I would rate that as a 3. Breakfast the next morning was a solid 5 if you don't look at the cost. As a Diamond Elite member, we had an opportunity to get a coupon for breakfast, but we took points instead. Wrong move, because we were charged $60 for the morning buffet. Granted it was delicious and they had many items to choose from, but we could have gotten away cheaper someplace else. Probably not the selection of dishes we had here, but we don't eat that much and there are many restaurants with a mile or so from the hotel we could have gone to if we knew it would be that much.
Excellent food and service Roberto did a wonderful job even though he was slam packed with orders. I was patient and it paid off. The ceviche was so fresh and had a lot of lime zest taste to it. The fish tasted fresh and was delicious Had the grilled chipotle sandwich and sweet potato fries. Absolutely delicious. Exceeded my expectations for a hotel restaurant
Food phenomenal atmosphere lux. Slight issue I had concerned service. Was minimal effort from staff, they were less than attentive and not prompt. Bar had 2 others besides myself and took bartender 10 minutes to notice I was seated. Ordered a drink, another ten minutes went by before I received it. Had it been busy or bartender covering service elsewhere I would've taken this into consideration, but was not the case.
My wife ordered the breakfast Matisse) with the Avocado an latte the waiter did not write anything down at all , he came back with a Hot tea the wrong plate of food that she ordered , then tried to show us the menu and said that's what you ordered then realized that he was wrong on what she originally ordered did not even correct it that's pretty bad right there considering it was his fault too other then that not a big selection on the buffet for breakfast
