The Dongara Bakery

This restaurant is my favorite spot for enjoying a delicious bowl of Pho. I used to travel all the way downtown to Spadina for a good bowl of Pho, but I now believe that the Pho in Vaughan is much better.

I am searching for a delicious version of Bun Bo Hue (BBH), which is a spicier alternative to pho.

Used to love our stops here but now find the cakes test used to melt in your mouth are now rather ordinary.

Colleagues had raved about Dongara Bakery as the place to go whilst in the area or on the way to / from Geraldton, so I decided to stop in here on a recent visit.I got the chilli beef pie, and was a little disappointed. The base was uneven - unusually thick down on one end and standard thickness on the other. I ended up throwing part of it out (if you're in Perth, the pies at Joe's Bakery at West Perth are awesome).For a Bakery, the product range was fairly limited, and I would have expected to see more variety.Maybe this Bakery was great in the past, maybe I ordered the wrong pie, but it didn't live up to the rave reviews I'd heard.

Stopped at. Dongara bakery recently for a couple of their pies, heard so much about how good they were . Bought 2 steak & kidney pies, didn't know that it was minced meat in the pies, expecting chiunks of steak. The pies were salty and not the best . prefer chunky steak pies ,can get mince ones anywhere. For the price not worth the trip
