Contribuiți la feedbackI had a decent lunch at Tai Pan by Secret Kitchen. It wasn't exceptional or exactly to my taste, but it wasn't bad either. The seafood noodles were average, similar to what you would find at any other noodle place. The crispy noodles with char siu had great flavor, but we were disappointed by the small amount of char siu, which appeared to be shrunken.
This was my first time trying out 'Steam Pot' Chinese Kitchen. Tai Pan by Secret Kitchen is part of the Secret Kitchen Group, known for its high quality food. We visited for dinner on a Sunday night. The venue is similar to the previous Tai Pan Chinese Restaurant, which was acquired by Secret Kitchen in October 2016. It hasn't been renovated much since then. Their specialty is the 'Steam Pot', which is considered very healthy as all ingredients maintain their original taste with no extra spices. We ordered a soup base in the steam pot and chose various ingredients to steam in it. They have a variety of sauces available at a separate station. The food options were a bit common and on the expensive side, especially the soup base. The service was good, with attentive waiters, likely due to it not being very busy. Overall, we were happy and satisfied with everything except for the high prices for raw food. I don't think I will be returning often.
This was the first time I came across a 'Steam Pot' Chinese cuisine. Tai Pan by Secret Kitchen is one of the franchised restaurants under Secret Kitchen group which renowned for its good quality in food.We went on Sunday night for dinner. The venue was almost the same as its previously owned by Tai Pan Chinese Restaurant and been bought over by Secret Kitchen since Oct 2016. It has been least renovated or updated, almost the same as before.Their specialty is 'steam pot' which considered very healthy, all ingredients are in their original taste, no added any seasoning. Mainly we had to order a soup base in the steam pot and chose different varieties of food to put on top of the soup to steam it.There are varieties of sauce to help yourself in separate station for you to dip into your food. In other word you make your own seasoning according to your own taste. There are quite varieties of food to choose from, but I found it's quite ordinary and quite pricey especially the soup base to start with. (photos attached with menu)The service was good, waiters were very attentive, perhaps because there were not busy only 30% full.Over all we were happy and satisfied except it was not worth the value of raw food with expensive price. I don't think that I will go back often.
This little dumpling bar located down a side lane is melbourne's worst kept secret. Once inside you get greeted by a gentleman at the door and then get led
