New Inn - Doncaster

I went to this restaurant for their Christmas menu and was disappointed. The turkey was thin and flavorless, the sprouts were hard and frozen, the roast potatoes were dry and likely frozen, and the parsnips were frozen and hard. The stuffing was soggy, the pigs in blankets were undercooked, and the only fresh item on the plate were the carrots, which were the best part. There was no Yorkshire pudding, and overall, the meal lacked the homemade quality you would expect from a Christmas roast. When I informed the manager of my dissatisfaction, they seemed uninterested and I ended up paying full price for a meal that fell far below the expected standard. I will not be returning to this restaurant and suggest they prioritize making homemade, fresh food instead of relying on frozen ingredients.

Always made to feel welcome and great food and beer selection in a traditional country pub by the side of the canal.

Superb meal. We moored outside the pub in our narrowboat and had an evening meal Steak and scampi, fully loaded burger 2 desserts and a bottle of Hardys Shiraz. Great quality food, well prepared and a friendly service. Unbelievably good value only £50
