Dodges Hotel & Bistro - DODGES FERRY

We had lunch before the Russell Morris show at this restaurant. The staff behind the bar asked us to order our appetizers first (since we were sharing and needed an extra plate) and then our main dishes later. It took nearly an hour for our appetizers to arrive, and then our main dishes were brought to the table with our appetizers, but no extra plate. Unfortunately, when we started eating, the chips and onion rings (from our appetizers) were cold. When we mentioned that we had to wait almost an hour, the waitress explained that they were very busy due to the Russell Morris show. However, we felt that they should have anticipated the show and hired extra staff to accommodate the large number of patrons.

My family ordered to take the meals for 5 tonight from the first phone call to the pick-up time. the staff here was so efficient and friendly. When we arrived, they bent backwards to help us. our meals were excellent. on the menu...for us were ripening, two different parmys, a child's meal and a pasta. all were excellent. I couldn't recommend them enough. we are traveling and not local

Meals are always delicious and generously served. the personal is friendly and efficient. the place is very clean and a beautiful atmosphere. that is one of our favorites!

Ate here in the last few weeks. Not overly impressed with some of the staff, abrupt and surly, for some unknown reason, “Bad Hair Day” perhaps??? The meal I ordered was Cajun Chicken with sweet potato wedges, vegetables and a gravy/sauce of my choice. When...the meal arrived at my table I was a little shocked, a small to medium chicken breast sliced in half with a handful of wedges, 3 or 4 cut green beans, a small piece of broccoli and cauliflower with a couple of spoonsful of gravy. The meal was cooked OK and hot, tasted OK for the small serve of chicken. At $28, I thought it a bit steep but after looking again at the menu most of the meals offered, in my opinion, were overpriced for a country pub, more like Hobart prices, not worth the drive out!!!

Went for dinner earlier this week. The young lady that looked after us was amazing, very attentive and really made us feel welcome. She couldnt do enough for us during the night. The meal was horrendous! Everything was overcooked and WAY OVER SALTED to the...point where it was inedible. A real let down!
