Contribuiți la feedbackLa presentación de los platos por parte del Chef Emiliano Schenone, es muy buena, y los sabores de sus platos, son bien diferenciables, lo que para mí es muy importante, como dije en el título, es un lugar para recomendar.
Personalized service, local ingredients served in an amazing atmosphere by a renowned chef! Dining at this property with its white linens and beautiful crystals and china is a royal experience. The wine pairings were excellent to match the food!
My husband and I had the privilege of dining with Chef Santiago on separate occasions. No matter the occasion, his meals truly embodied his personality... Understated flamboyance, passion and exuberance that resulted in simply exquisite country- style cooking. We truly loved our cooking class...with him and although he is very quiet at first, his very friendly and welcoming nature came out when we got to know him a little better. Truly one of the memories that will remain with us after our stay at Casa Margot. Do not be fooled by his youthful appearance, he has an understanding of flavours that far surpasses his age and on the I Love You nights we loved the way he combined the Ono de bide with a malbec and plumb sauce and the sea bream with a tangy, gremolata sauce! Perfecto! In additon, we felt that he had an uncanny ability to showcase the very best of traditional Argentine dishes, with a certain degree of youthfulness and exuberance without comprising the time preserved sanctity of the dishes.
We selected Casa Magot for dinner during our stay in Chacras de Corias based on the strenght of the reviews here on trip advisor but were a bit disappointed. We had the three course menu with matching wine. The bodega is famous for its sparkling...wine so we had this with our starter. The wine was nothing special and tasted very much like your bog standard supermarket sparkling wine. I had the pumpkin and goats cheese to start with beetroot crisps. The dish tasted like it had been reheated. The pumpkin was flavourless, the cheese congealed and the crisps were not crispy. My husband had the trout which was nice and well balanced with a lovely accompaniment. We both had the veal for main course with the bordelaise sauce. This was delicious and tender. The sauce was excellent and the potatoes well cooked. The highlight of the meal was the Maula Oak Malbec which was really something special. I had the puff pastry with dolce de leche for pudding which was nice but nothing special and the same with the chocolate and orange marquise. In the end we were not offered a third glass of wine with our dessert but at that stage we were ready to go so not too bothered. Casa Margot itself is beautiful if a little hard to find as it is not well sign posted. The dining room is nice but they could work on the lighting and chairs were very low backed. All in all an average meal which was on the expensive side for the region and there are much better options in the surrounding area. Maula Malbec was exceptional and will seek this our again at home.
The atmosphere is perfect, the five course dinner was amazing. The chef is an artist and the wines, absolutely superior! Many thanks for that enjoyable time!
