Contribuiți la feedbackWe had a pleasant experience here on Saturday night. I booked 8 by phone while I was in Britain and had a great reception. madame and the personal were fantastic - nothing too much annoyed in a very lively restaurant. the selection and quality of the food was...good and a decent weinlist – to reasonable cost despite the unfavorable currency exchange rate!
As a family of 4 and the personal welcomed us very kindly. we were offered English menus if we wanted. eating is extraordinary. beautiful seafood and amazing steaks and steaktar. 3 courses for 25,90 € or 32,90 € per person....Great value. can wait to go back.
I had an enjoyable lunch for a very attractive price in that simple brasserie on a hot August day. Lunch menu options were quite good so I went with it carpaccio de boeuf with melon sliced as a starter (quite reasonable, but not outstanding)...followed by a fantastic steak tartar, one if the best I ever tried (and I tried many). Two glasses of a very good Cotes du Rhone completed the meal. I would give this place full five stars, but was rather dissapointed with the service, I always had the impression they were trying to rush you. But still quite a nice place to keep in mind.
Had a very acceptable evening meal here on our trip through Dinard. Mid week, and barely in season, it filled up very quickly when it opened at 7pm, so we were glad we had booked. This looked the best of the similar looking cafe/restaurants close...to the promenade, and we weren’t disappointed. Food was typical of the area lots of seafood and fish, but there were adequate choices both on the a la carte and the menu de jour options. We had the €29 3 course option, which also included a welcome drink (sangria, oddly) and thought the service was very speedy, and the food good. Wine was also reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere too.
Trip to Dinard from St Cast and decided to have lunch. This restaurant looks pretty much like the rest and so we went in and smiled, greeted the waitress and asked in french for a table for 2. We have visited France a lot and...always make a good effort we think! to speak as much French as we can. We are smiley and friendly people we think! and have met wonderful people in restaurants, shops, supermarket etc. Never ever had a problem before. People have been generous and kind .... sadly it was this lunch visit that was the kind of experience that left us feeling sad and uncomfortable. I wanted to curl up! As we asked for a beer and glass of wine in French the brusque waitress spoke quickly at us and we missed the lot but gathered it was about the choice of beer. My husband said he did not understand in french and I looked up at her to see her looking at the french family and clearly rolling her eyes and shaking her head. She walked off saying nothing and an older woman arrived who explained about the beer in English we smiled and thanked her and chose the beer to then overhear a conversation between another waitress and the family right next to us about the fact that they thought her English was very good, looking pointedly at us my french was good enough to understand that! I wanted to leave- the order for our meal was greeted with brusque and unfriendly response and confused looks as we asked for moules et frites. Clearly a very different experience to other reviewers. Food was Ok , nothing exceptional, it was ok. Service and attitude was discourteous and rude. Sorry for my first unhappy review ....
